Join the Conversation: Advancing Women in Engineering & Manufacturing
Workforce Planning Hamilton and YWCA Hamilton invite HR, Engineering, and Operations Managers to participate in an Employer Roundtable Discussion focused on advancing women in engineering and manufacturing.
This collaborative discussion will explore strategies to attract, retain, and advance women in the industry while addressing key topics including recruitment and retention, mentorship, workforce challenges, and workplace inclusion.

New Report Highlights Community Priorities for Newcomer Settlement in Hamilton
The Hamilton Immigration Partnership Council (HIPC) is pleased to announce the release of
Supporting Newcomers through Collaboration: Findings from HIPC Fall 2025 Community Forum.
Based on discussions with approximately 120 newcomers, service providers, community leaders, and community partners, the report examines the key challenges and opportunities influencing newcomer settlement and belonging in Hamilton. It explores important topics including employment, housing, income, language access, education, transportation, and social inclusion, while highlighting the value of collaboration, coordinated services, advocacy, and community partnerships in strengthening settlement outcomes.
The report also outlines priorities for future research and collective action to better support newcomers across the community.
HIPC extends its sincere thanks to Alejandra Estrada Valera, the Evaluation Committee, and all forum participants whose insights and contributions made this report possible.

Help Shape the Future of Youth Services with YEmpower
The YEmpower Youth Engagement Program is a unique opportunity for women and gender-diverse youth aged 15โ18 to make a meaningful impact on the future of youth programming and services in Hamilton.
Over six months, participants will work alongside YWCA Hamilton staff, mentors, and community partners to explore the issues affecting youth, identify service gaps, and develop recommendations that will help shape future programs and supports. Along the way, youth advisors will build valuable leadership, communication, public speaking, research, and advocacy skillsโno previous experience required.
Program Highlights:

- ๐ฒ Participant Honorarium: Up to $2,000

Youth advisors will also have the opportunity to help design and conduct community consultations, analyze findings, and share recommendations with community partners.
