What's In The News?

Latest updates!

Artificial intelligence (AI) is rapidly transforming many professions, and career development is no exception. Tools such as ChatGPT can help career advisors generate ideas, analyze information, identify transferable skills, and support career exploration.

However, the most effective use of AI in career advising is not as a replacement for professional judgment, but as a tool that enhances and amplifies human expertise.

What I have heard from career advisors over those 40 years tells me the field is ready for this question. Again and again, practitioners have said some version of the same thing: "If only I could have this conversation with my clients." They entered this work because they wanted to make a genuine difference in people’s lives, yet instead, they often find themselves helping people polish resumes and rehearse interview answers for jobs that may not materialize.
