In October, Hamilton’s unemployment rate fell slightly to 7.0%, now matching the national average and staying below Ontario’s 7.8%. The city continues to show strong labour market activity with 452,000 people employed across all sectors.

🎖️ Honouring Our Heroes this Remembrance Day
This year marks 80 years since the end of the Second World War and 25 years since the entombment of Canada’s Unknown Soldier, who represents the 118,000+ Canadians who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to their country.
Today, there are just 3,691 surviving Canadian veterans of the Second World War — a poignant reminder of the importance of remembrance.
