Monday was World Youth Skills Day created to celebrate the strategic importance of equipping young people with skills for employment, decent work and entrepreneurship

Unemployment was high in June, as the rate inched up by 0.3% to 7.3%, and the unemployed population increased by 5% to 33,700.

For three consecutive months now, the Hamilton CMA has had an increasing unemployment rate, going from 6.6% in April, 7% in May; and 7.3% in June. Compared to the national unemployment rate of 6.3%, the Hamilton CMA now has a high unemployment rate (which is above 6%).

Care For Newcomer Children

The Care for Newcomers Children (CNC) Open House is geared towards newcomer families and open to children of all ages! We aim to introduce the Care for Newcomers Children's space and its services, which are offered as a part of Immigrant & Settlement supports at YWCA Hamilton.


Event Highlights:
